My passion began by taking a photo of my cat in the winter of 2018. Silly? Maybe…no, most definitely! In spite of that, this passion only solidified when taking a close up picture of my yard in the spring of 2019. And once I saw that photo, I couldn’t help but wonder; “Just what other photos could I take?”

And so it began. 3 years later after studying, getting my first camera, trial and error, a journal so well written in, the binding broke, I had to get a new one years later. Several bad photos of the nature around me, as well as cats, horses, friends, and the support of my family to keep going, I realized this hobby of mine became more of a passion. And this passion became a dream.

The Winter of 2022, I was almost done with high school early, only a half credit left before I moved out of Oregon and traveled with my family, 3 horses, and 3 cats all the way to Kershaw, South Carolina. Now, starting in a brand new area with little to know what I wanted to hone my niche in, was challenging to say the least. I knew from the get go I wanted to take photos of horses (as I own one myself so it felt the most natural.), But how to get my foot in the door, I had little to no idea. Call it fate, a coincidence, or a natural love of the horse world, a neighbor pulled into our driveway asking about our horses. One word after the other, I found out he and his family hosted barrel races and soon enough, I was taking photos for them. A couple years later, after exploring the area and finding more little rodeos to go to, I went to college and got a certificate in photography in 2024, and slowly began working towards making this dream come true - To launch my own business. Now in the beginning months of 2025, I’m doing just that.
